Almost 80% of the Windows 8 code had been removed or replaced with the Windows 11 code. Other things from Windows 8.1 that was still present is the Windows 8 Style Search sidebar from the right side, the Purple color accent which sometimes showed up in some places of the Windows 10 UI, and a LOT of Windows 8 UI context menus that showed up if you right clicked something.īut this is Windows 11 which was released 6 years after the original Windows 10 release. It had at least 60% of Windows 8.1 code still present and stuff like the old Start screen was still present. ![]() This was only possible on Windows 10 Build 1507 when Microsoft rushed out the Windows 10 OS in July of 2015.
